CBS Early Show Highlights WalkAmerica

NEW YORK, APRIL 10, 2006
-- Harry Smith and Julie Chen, co-anchors of CBS's The Early Show, talking about the upcoming March of Dimes WalkAmerica during the broadcast. Volunteers from WalkAmerica sponsors Kmart, CIGNA, FedEx, Famous Footwear, Farmers Insurance, as well as the Grain Foods Foundation's bread mascot (pictured right) braved the early morning chill at CBS plaza on 59th and Fifth Avenue to help promote the walk that saves babies. WalkAmerica will take place in nearly 1,100 communities across the country during the last weekend of April.




CBS Weatherman Dave Price Speaks To Volunteers

NEW YORK, APRIL 10, 2006
– Dave Price, weatherman from CBS's, The Early Show (in blue WalkAmerica cap with microphone) chats during the live broadcast with WalkAmerica volunteer Scott Ochs of Famous Footwear, holding his 18-month-old daughter Allison, and March of Dimes spokesperson Michele Kling. Dave knows all about WalkAmerica and also mentioned the importance for women of taking folic acid prior to pregnancy to help give every baby a healthy start in life. WalkAmerica will take place in nearly 1,100 communities across the country during the last weekend of April.
